Student Service Club
With your teacher's permission, announce in your class that
you want to start a 'Service Club'. Tell the class where and
when the first meeting will be held. Inform your class that
service clubs impact the World.
Examples of adult Service Clubs are Kiwanis and Rotary. Key
Clubs and Circle K International Clubs are also Service Clubs.
Students of all ages will benefit from the opportunity to
participate in a Service Club.
Maybe your teacher will allow you to meet in your classroom
after school.
Things to do to start a Service Club:
Start a
at Your School.
Find a sponsor for your Club, probably one of the
teachers.
Call an initial meeting and discuss the concept of a
Service Club.
Pick a name for your Club and make a logo. Maybe have
a contest for those who attend the initial meeting to see
who can come up with the best name and logo within a
week. Use the internet to search for free clip art. Have
your logo represent your Club's name such as the 'World
Equity Club' as shown in this example:
Establish your clubs MISSION. The Mission of Kiwanis
Internation is: “Serving the children of the world”
Write Club Objectives. Examples follow:
Check your school's regulations and fill out the necessary
paperwork.
At your second meeting, finalize your club name and logo.
Elect officers.
Start considering Service Projects.
As a Service Project, it is Aogaah® Foundation's hope that
once a year your club will coordinate an EVENT. See the
navagation button THE EVENT. One club event can easily
raise enough money to provide schooling for an entire class
of 25 Aogaah students for an entire year. Clubs that sponsor
a class can email the Cambodian students in that class.
Your club does not have to deal with the donations. Aogaah
takes care of all those details. Donations are processed at
www.aogaah.org/page05a.
Aogaah Foundation®, which is registered with the US Patent
